2015 Fall Images-A Lovely Little Poem

Swirling, whirling golden pieces falling out of the blue.

Rich cinnamon tints and deep sage and purple hues.

Glass shapes piled and spilling out of chubby palms.

Reflecting the crunchy collage that blankets the ground.

IMG_4349Sisters swinging arm and arm from the branch that Grandpa prepared.

Trying to toe those reddish orange bits hanging by a breath of air.

Little brown boots and golden ringlets flitting through a meadow.

Chasing fluffy puppy tails and hungry hopping sparrows.IMG_5304

Faint peach rays warming the dead trodden grass in the dusk.

Grandma’s hands pour the tea and deftly crimp the pie crust.

Sampling dumplings at the festival, mac and cheese at the pumpkin patch.

Parade candy dropped on wet pavement for eager hands to snatch.

Jumping on a huge bright pillow as if from a memory in a dream.

Drifting slowly on the porch swing sipping coffee mixed with cream.

Drinking in that airy crispness while riding horseback through the trees.

Pretzel bun sliced in half with the perfect burger in between.

Fall images - a lovely little poem

Shuffling cards and flicking them one by one ’round the circle of hands.

Basketball balls bounce in rhythm with batons flying through the band.

French vanilla and peppermint flavors waft around the family room.

Savoring those moments when love and camaraderie are in full bloom.

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things” Philippians 4:8.
